Default teach me everything you know about a b16a's idle

cuz mines about 200 rpms too low....idled fine when i first put it in then as the months past....it started idleing lower and lower now it idles just above 500 ....ugh....

it used to idle at 750 flawlessly for the longest time.

Whatever you do, don't **** with the FITV like some people may tell you.

basically the fitv controls your idle when cold/warming up. it works off coolant temp, and it allows air to pass into the manifold, raising the idle when cold. as the coolant warms the fitv, it slowly closes down and stops air from entering, and no longer affects idle. smoetimes it gets stuck open, allowing air to pass, and keeping the idle high. to fix, open, and manually close it down. the fitv has no electronics and is a mechanical air valve

when the car is warm idle is regulated by th iacv, idle air control valve. to fix this, clean the inside with carb cleanner and reset your idle. you can check the resistance between the contacts and see if it is within specs.

for your problem i would try to clean iacv and reset idle.

someone show me where the screw is on the throttle body....and tell me how to "reset idle"

ok so what about resetting the Idle....is that the same as resetting the ecu?
