ok so i swapped a b18c into my 99 civic ex i ran the iab wire to the a26 pinout as soon in the reference section...i have power to the plug at the solenoid and vacuum at the diaphragm, i had my brother get into the car and rev the engine to 6000 rpm's so i could see if the diaphragm opened the secondaries up....nothing....i shut the car off and the diaphragm stays close....even know the vacuum is gone...What is my problem Here? please help im so sick of working on this.

 

Is the ECU driving the IAB via high-side of low-side driver?

Does the ECU switch the ground or the 12VDC+ to turn the solenoid on?

Is the ECU OBD-2 or OBD-1?

 

ecu is obd2 it uses a 12v to switch the ground. I have the black going to a ground and the other wire going to the a plug pin 26 on the ecu...

 

problem fixed....that cap on the top of the solenoid that works as a filter was clugged ....therefore not letting an air excape from the diaphragm...thanks for the help in vtec.
