Default I think i sunk a sleeve

ok. not to long ago i started having overheating issues. i took my head off and strait edged the block. with a feeler gauge i could slide 2 thounsandths in between the strait edge and the sleeve deck which is acceptable. I figured i would try to quick fix it. so i replaced headgasket and fresh o rings and went on my way. went to the track, BAM spun a bearing and fixed that andhad to replace my headgasket again because of that because i went ahead and switched the rods. well this weekend at NDRA event i BLEW THE **** OUT OF THE HEADGASKET which was only 2 days old. 4th gear water just started gushing from under the hood up my windshield and roof of the car. couldnt find any blown hoses. Started pulling plugs and #4 was wet. I looked down in the cylinder and it was FULL of water! Golden eagle has basically said to me that sense i dont have proof of them sleeving it because i bought it second hand from a nice guy that didnt even use it that it will cost me 450ish for a resleeve and i can totally understand that, but are the blocks marked by GE in any way when they are sleeved, like a serial number because theres a serial number engraved behind my oil pump on the block.

we do not mark our blocks in any way we never have as far as the sleeve sinking the only way that could happen is if the block was redecked after it left here with our old sleeves they had to be decked a certain way or that could happen now with the new HD sleeves they are not as touchy as the old ones we have ben doing them for more then 2 years now and have had no problems with them they are some of the strongest sleeves on the market if you do end up sending it in to be re sleeved i will put a rush on it so you will have very little down time and can get your car up and going again in no time

alrighty. looks like the block just needed to be decked slightly to get out deck imperfections.
