Default (ECT) plug help

HI......

I'm doing a gsr swap into my 88 dx civic HB i had a LS in it before...so i'm using the same harrness ...where is the ENGINE COOLANT TEM SENOR on the Ls. anyway I put the motor in did a lil plug and play and everything worked out ok..but two things...one is the ECT plug...in the hanes manuel...i have.. it says its on the thermostat housing on a sohc...then i looked for the dohc and it says it the...(what i have come to know it by) is the vtec switch....which is it...lol....ok...the 2nd...thing is coolant point on the housing it's the small one sitting near the intake mani..I can't figure out where in the heck it goes....I've gotten coolant diagrams off here and it doesn't list that one.....but any help would be great thanks.......and before you start i have looked this up many times..but nothing.......

ok been looking it over and found out maybe the sensor on the housing is the on that tells the fan to kick in...NOT sure..can anyone comfirm this...thanks

On my '95 GSR it was like this...

Sensor in thermostat housing (with 2-wire plug) = fan switch.

Sensor with 2-wire plug that's installed into VTEC spool valve = VTEC oil pressure switch.

Sensor with 2-wire plug that's installed into head = ECT sensor.

Sensor with 1-wire plug in head = sender for temperature gauge.
