I think I bent something! Please help!
So yesterday I pulled the blown engine from my 2005 Civic. I unbolted all the bell housing bolts and motor mounts and then started unbolting the flex plate bolts. I had to remove the oil pan to unseize the motor before I could turn the engine get to the rest of the bolts. In the mean time the jack holding the engine up failed and the engine fell. When it fell I think it bent the torque converter or input shaft or something important. When I tried installing my new/used motor it will not turn easy at all in some spots when the engine is bolted to the bell housing. I pulled the engine back out and checked to make sure that the torque converter was completely seated and it slightly grinds/rumbles in one spot So my question is: Will the weight of a motor resting on the torque converter cause damage to the transmission? If so, to what and how do I fix it? Help, it needs to be running by Tuesday.Thank you for taking the time to read my post and help me.
