I just recently changed my turbo. Went from the t3/to4b to the t3/to4e turbo. After changing the turbo, and turning on the engine, I realized a lot of smoke coming out from my exhaust system. I revved my car a few times, and some oil starts to shoot out.

Anybody know what's wrong??!!??

By the way, engine has been rebuilt, and only has 500 miles on it.

 

If you didn't anything else to the motor, than the turbo oil seal is probably Bad.

 

sounds like a bad turbo swap.

Would I need to get the turbine shaft seal then, or the compressor seal, or both??

If you are going to rebuild it just change both. It not worth it try to safe a couple of buck for the seal..
