Default I need a hardcore tech guy with this one...

Maybe, maybe not. 2 weeks ago I'm on the juice, in second gear and at about 6700 rpm I hear a explosion from under the hood. After that the car runs real bad and I hear a tapping sound from the valve area. I remove the spark plug wires one at a time and cylinder 2 seems to be the suspect.

I buy all new valves and springs and have the head decked and the head reassenbled. On start up I have oil leaking out the head like crazy and it's running even worst than before! I'm about ready to junk the engine. Any ideas on what could be up?!! Thanks in advance for you help!!

Did you re-assemble this? Perhaps you installed something backwards. Wheres it leaking from?

Not too much information given, so you can't expect a very informative reply.

where from the head is it leaking from?

Head gasket could be suspect. Or head wasn't machined properly. Or bolts weren't tightened to specification.

I'd say the headgasket. Was it not torqued properly? Was it installed upside down? Those things could easily make a huge *** leak.

You didnt reuse the old head gasket did you? If so that's your problem. Also, did the knocking go away??

head gasket if its leaking oil like crazy and if its still knocking you may have turned your rod bearings (not good).
