**HELP Oil Spraying rom head!!!**
we just finished putting my friends JG head on his B18c1 in his hatch, checked everythingand started it..... it started right up....then oil started spraying from what seems to be where the block meets the head, just behind the thermostat housing.......what could cause this??? it was spraying quite a bit......this is sad because he was going to run it this week end but now it isnt going to happen!! hes missed the last 3 CMI events due to problems like this! the first time his linkage was bent a little and went into second instead fourth gear on the freeway racing a viper and bent valves and bad stuff,....but still hit a 14.9 with 8 bent valves, and no compression in 3rd cylinder, with a trunk full of tools and 2 jacks, then last time his clutchmasters lightened flywheel broke! and now this! it sucks! i hope someone can help out!
thanks a lot!!

Is it ls/vtec? There is an oil gallery right were your problem is. It needs to be plugged for lsvtec. If its a vtec engine, you could have installed the gasket incorrectly. You guys should be more careful.
Just out of curiousity, how do you bend shift linkage? I've heard of people mishifting to 2nd instead of 4th but I've never heard anyone blame bent shiftlinkage over poor skills.

You definitely put the head gasket on up side down. Look for where the gasket says up and install that end up.
