Default How many lbs. of boost can it hold...

Alright, my friend has a 95 Civic with a V-TEC E engine in it. Yeah I know the best answer for speed is buy a better engine, but really how many lbs. of boost could this engine hold on stock everthing. The turbo that is almost on it has an actuator set for 6 lbs. but I think we are going to make it leak boost purposely and run like 4 lbs. You think it can hold 4 lbs. and stock everything except for full exhaust and intake. Thanks.

if it is a SOHC vtec D16Y8 or D16Z6 it should be able to take up to 9psi on stock internals, that's high though. You can run 7psi safely, as long as you have the correct fuel/ignition tuning. Boost levels are also affected by the turbo size. Do some research in the Forced Induction forum they are very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have.

its good for 6 or 7 on the street

and do NOT make it leak purposley its very bad for the turbo.

Will I need an intercooler for 6 to 7 psi.? If so we have another small radiator that we were thinking of using. I wouldn't think so cause I saw a site on a guy installing a turbo on his CRX and he is running 9 psi without intercooler and he had smaller turbo so it will be putting more heat than the turbo we are using and we will only be running 6 psi. So yeah thanks.

I wouldn't say that an intercooler is required if you only plan on boosting 6psi but it is definitely recommended. A small intercooler would be good.
