I was just wondering cause I got a Ctr intake cam and a Spoon 8.8 flywheel with stock valve train and stock rod bearings on my b18c When i get on it and then let off Ill hear a pretty loud tick sound sometimes, i know compression breaking is bad with a lightened flywheel(thanx rocket) But when i get on it and then let off in second gear ill hear a loud tick sound

just say i get on it first and second and then let off in second i will hear a audible tick sound just one. I think my mounts are pretty much worn so maybe the engine is hitting something
it could be your valvetrain bottoming out when you downshift hard, or is it as it sinks back in the RPMs? if it is what I think it is... its the rocker shafts depressurizing and the VTEC pistons in the rocker arms dismounting.
all VTEC cars do it occasionally. yours could be on the verge of being worn.
this is something that gets louder as the motor gets older. it makes the sound
as VTEC un-mounts.
get some real damn springs and LMAs on your cams damn it!
