Default How do you correctly clean a Throttle Body

Just wondering if anyone has the correct procedure.
I had just installed a crankcase breather and moved my CAI to check the TB, I noticed an oily/greasy residue and some mild dirt on the throttle plate. I want to take this out and clean it....

Has anyone done this before?
What chemicals should I use???

Thanks???

The best way is to take it off and wipe it as clean as you can with a old rag, it comes off pretty easy.

You want to avoid using chemical cleaners, because this can eat away at the sealant that manufacturers use on the throttle plate. If you eat away the sealant, then you will probably have eratic idle issues.

Throttlebody cleaner should losen any stubborn residue, they make mild cleaners that are safe for coated throttlebodies.
