way i do it is get a soft tip brush (toothbrush) and some good tb cleaner. i use valvoline synthetic stuff. works like a charm

just spray it while car isnt running swirl the brush around, spray a bit more then start the car up open the throttle and spray for about 5/10 sec to clean it all out

I'd take the intake manifold off too and clean that and the throttle body with carb cleaner.

All you need to do is use throttlebody (T/B) cleaner (spray can) it doesn't matter which brand you choose just go to a good auto parts supply store, they will have it. Spray some (you dont need alot) in your T/B opening and brush it a bit with an old soft tooothbrush and wipe out the opening with a rag. It is not necessary to remove the intake manifold (I/M) to clean that to, but if the parts off the motor already than clean the I/M the exact same way.

T/B cleaner is DIFFERANT THAN Straight CARB cleaner... carb cleaner dries out seals... T/B cleaner Doesn't.... just go buy a can of Sea Foam Deep Creep and Sea foam your car too ... cost all in all 10 bucks
