Honestly how long does Ls/V last ?
Just really would like to know form people's experinces not thought.of how long a stock b18a bottom end would last when mated to the b16a head ? i would assume if you stayed under the normal b18a rev it would last about like a normal b18a correct ? but after hitting higher rpm's it starts to kill that bottom end.just feed back on their ls/vtec expeirnces w/stock block and then some w/built blocks just curious.thanks
I really hate this question....
Honestly, it is all in the build. A good machinest can do wonders.
Personally, I have an LS/Vtec in my car and it has roughly 9000 miles. I only drive the car in the warm months and when I do drive it, I drive it pretty hard.

i have an lsvtec, but it think the only stock part of the bottom end was the oil pump and crankshaft.
if your stock block is healthy, keep the revs to high 7000 rpms range or maybe 8000 and it should be ok for a while.
depending on how hard you drive it and how well its tuned etc i wouldnt be suprised if you get 10-20k or more miles
