Default Hondata vs AFC, in ALL MOTOR setup

Has anybody switch from VAFC to Hondata, in a all motor setup, did you see any gains?

depending on the ammount of engine work there will probably be a diffence between the two setups.

if the engine is a basic I/H/E/C and cam gears, a VAFC would be just fine.

one you start into the heavy head porting, larger injectors and high compression pistons with high RPM's hondata would be a better way to go.

When exactly is it time to go standalone?

Hondata My friend's CRVTEC with 12.0:1 slugs and a Portflow head with a CTR intake cam running RC 310's runs just fine on an ITR ECU and VAFC and it's never even been on the dyno... Tuned just by feel it ran a 12.62@107 in a full interior EK... Hondata is the way to go tho... It's probably going to be switched over to Hondata once we drop some Toda B's in it... Good Luck

Jun 3 cams, 12:5.1 Wiseco pistons, skunk2 valves, ported head, 68 mm TB, JG Victorx Manifold,
CAI, 4-1 DC Headers, JUN ECU, VAFC dont really think there will be too much of a gain switching over to Hondata, maybe 5-7 horses tops, I run 18 degrees timing on 93 GAS and not so much as a ping from my enigine

You Run 12.5:1 with 18 degrees of timing on 93??? What injectors do you have?? Just wondering cuz that sounds kinda high to not be detonating on pump gas... Latez

310 RCs, 93 sometimes 94, I doubt there is a difference between the to, thats what I mean my VAFC is very well tuned, car made 232 to wheels I dont think I will see any gains with a Hondata, thats why I ask if anyone has made the switch and seen extreme gains

hmmm title says hondata VS AFC. sounds like a head to head to me. then in the post it actually says the above. that sounds to me like a "upgrade". therefor in my head it means piggyback tuning device VS complete tuning tool. BIG difference. concrete, hardly. maybe u should b more precise in ur questions.

Maybe u should lighten up a little, and keep any comment that is not helpful to yourself. I never asked to compare the two, I asked if anyone made the switch and saw big gains.
