Default Hondata s300 Map Switch?

I have a boosted civic (gsr motor) running hondata s300. I had it tuned awhile back with the stock map sensor so they tuned it to like 9.5 psi as the sensor wouldnt read much more. I am ready to move up to a GM 3bar and hopefully make some more power but i am curios about the tuning. Will the new map sensor require a new tune from scratch? I was told by my tuner than he would have to start from scratch but it seems like the s300 might have the ability to "recognize" a replacment sensor so would it be able to keep the tune? I wish i could word this better but hopefully you get the idea.

You can swap the MAP sensor, adjust the config in SManager for the new sensor and then take it easy on the drive to your tuner. I wouldn't think you would need to start from scratch though.

You should not have to start from scratch, but you may want to check your AF on the dyno just to make sure there are no problems.

Hmmm well that sounds hopeful. My tuner is about 50 miles from home, and i plan on swapping it out and driving it right over to be tuned for about 20psi so it will be retuned but its nice that i may be able to save an hour on the dyno if it dosnt have to be done from the ground up again.
