Default hondata help

so i took my car to get tuned. plugged in the new p72 with hondata i threw a CEL and would only rev to 4500 rpm then my tuner said that hondata could not connect to his computer. we tried 2 other hondata units and they didnt work.

sounds like a bad solder joint in the socket

put the ecu into another car and see if it does this. is it an s300, s200 or s100? if its a 200 or 100, it may be a bad burn, or a chip installed backwards. or as earlier stated, a bad solder on the chip socket or the 4 prong for the hondata

its a s200 and we have not tried that. is there a place i can send it so they can fix it.

try the ecu and hondata in another car, and see if it still does it. try and get another chip burned for you as well, sounds like either a bad burn on the chip or a bad solder joint on either the chip or 4pin

Are you sure it is a s200 and not a older staged system? What does the serial number on the back say?
