I have a s300 hondata in my turboR. but my friend wants to use his uberdata on my car, cause he doesnt know how to use the hondata program, and i have no idea how to use it either yet. THere is no one here in the islands that knows how to really tune it. What should i do? should i try and tune it with the hondata or uberdata?
Uberdata is outdated, not as solid, and just a bad choice. You will definetly be downgrading if you switch to Ubderdata - which is chip based from a real time programmable system - Hondata S300.
But on the other hand, if your tuner is not familiar with Hondata S300 the tune will never be as good as an experienced Ubderdata tuner.

Comparing Uberdata to the rest is as follows.
Hondata
Neptune
eCtune
Crome
Zdyne
All have more FEATURES, more SOLID, fluid SOFTWARE, better SUPPORT then Uberdata. I said bad choice because all of the above ECU sytems perform a better job then Uberdata, and when such stands, using Uberdata is a bad choice. Yes Ubderdata is a great choice back in the day, there was nothing wrong with it, but we have have gone so much father with programmable ECUs then Uberdata currently stands. Just the point that you questioned the fact of a EEPROM based system to RTP is naive. Yes, not everyone needs the function but it is the principal in this argument which I am referring to. Lets not make this a fan boy debate, stick to the facts. Denying technological advances which makes tuning more easy and sold is shrewd. When there are better choices out there, and you stick to something behind the times - that is fine. Just don't try to blindly push your beliefs onto others. State facts which can sway a people's opinion and not raw opinions which serve no use in a recommendation.

Thanks everyone for your insight. HONDATA it is then. I'll just have to play around with it a little to learn it better. I get a bit of it, and have a friend or two that knows a little more about it than me. I'll let you know my times at the track. Should be pushing 25-30 psi. sux we only have a 1/8 mile track here. Give it another year and i think we should have the 1/4 done.
ALL the best for the NEW YEAR!
