Default Hit pothole, blinking engine light, can't accelerate as normal.. HELP

I hit a fairly decent sized pothole on my way home and the car started slightly vibrating intermittently afterwards for like 20 seconds. Then my CEL light came on and started blinking. I couldn't accelerate after that so i pulled over to a full stop. I then turned off my engine and turned it back on. CEL didn't come back on and just drove off normally back home. I'm worried that this might happen again and don't want to get stuck on the highway again as its dangerous as hell.

Does anybody know what happened?

I'm planning on taking my car to an autoshop tomorrow morning but the problem is the CEL doesn't come on anymore. Does the car computer store previous CELs?

Check/redo your main ground, applies to any MM&Y of car.

For any more info, we will need MM&Y along with trim level and any mods.

Just because the cel doesn't come on doesn't mean it has magically disappeared. Pull the code. Make sure you don't disconnect the battery or you will lose it. It's important to get that code so you can isolate the issue.
