ive got a 1995 civic coupe and just installed an MSD 6AL IGNITION(PN 6420), MSD BLASTER HVC II COIL(PN 8253) & a MSD DISTRIBUTOR CAP. pretty sure ive installed everything right becuase the car starts but the problem is that i turn the engine on and it hesitates to start it cranks for awhile like a good 5 seconds sometimes more then it starts. before i installed this i didnt have a problem car started right away. but isnt it supposed to start right away with the new stuff ive installed? more powerful start?

What other mods do have that require upgraded ignition?

 

there isnt any other mod tahts all of it i think

 

sounds like it could be starter, battery power would be my first concern since the msd takes more power than a stock ignition, put a voltimeter on the battery positive side and see what volts it throws out when starting, other than that i would make sure ur power wires to your msd are hooked to a good source of power, not a delayed voltage reading like sensor power or tach power, let me know what volts it reads later
