Default Help: What are the symptoms of a bad VSS sensor...

Right now the Tach works, but the speedo doesn't.

the car is very "jumpy"...

ex. redlining 2nd gear.. when you "gas it" the revs climb as usual but then the power cuts in/out through out the revs.. as if you are "blipping" the gas as you "gas it"

This is on a 97 jdm h22a.

fyi: the motor is in a 94 accord.

What can be the problem???... i really need to fix this ****

Symptom of a bad VSS is erratic or non-existent speedo operation. Also check the connector at the speed sensor carefully-look for greenish discoloration of the metal; have seen more than one inop speedo resulting from connector corrosion. The more common cause is a failed speed sensor though.
