Default ?? Help identify LSD

Can anyone identify this LSD? I think it's for a JDM Prelude, but have no idea how to verify this.

edit: links to ebay images removed
edit: I installed an LSD from a Euro R.

Thanks,
Dave

From the pictures, it has 60 teeth.
Lol, a pain counting those.

I agree. I count 60 teeth also. How does a viscous LSD work and would it work well in a rear wheel drive application?

Thanks,
Dave

viscous LSD's dont work all that well - your best bet is to find a OEM gear type LSD (helical, torsen, etc) but they are pretty hard to find for the prelude transmissions.

You might want to head over to preludepower.com they should have some good info on LSD for the prelude transmission.

Just a thought.

just an fyi.....i would stick with a helical lsd like all oem honda lsd's, quaife lsd's and cusco lsd's. If you have a M2A4 h22 tranny i would reccomend putting an aftermarket quaife lsd. If you have a M2B4 H22 tranny with no lsd in it you can put an oem jdm H22 lsd in it. The main shafts and teeth are different on M2A4 and M2B4 trannies. Therefore you have to modify too many things in the M2A4 to fit the oem honda lsd out of a M2B4 tranny.

I have had a KAAZ lsd in my h22 and i didn't like the feel of it. Its a clutch type and doesn't even compare to a helical style lsd.

cliff notes....

M2A4 = 92-96 h22 tranny with NO LSD from factory

M2B4 = 92-96 h22 tranny WITH LSD from factory

cannot put the factory LSD inside the non-factory tranny WITJOUT changing main shaft and other iternal parts.

for easy installation of LSD in a non-lsd tranny is an aftermarket helical type LSD.

hope that helps a bit.
