Default OBX LSD Users Only

Those of you that use the OBX LSD please reply to the questions as follows:

1. Are you satisfied with the performance?

2. If you experienced problems with your OBX LSD, was OBX or the seller willing to honor the warranty of the product and replace or repair the product?

3. If you were in the market for another LSD would you purchase the OBX LSD or purchase another brand LSD such as Quaife?

Your sincere response is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. Are you satisfied with the performance?

-So far yes. However, I haven't thrown any real abuse at it yet. Under normal driving conditions it acts like a normal diff.

2. If you experienced problems with your OBX LSD, was OBX or the seller willing to honor the warranty of the product and replace or repair the product?

-No problems yet.

3. If you were in the market for another LSD would you purchase the OBX LSD or purchase another brand LSD such as Quaife?

-I have owned a quaife before purchasing the obx. I'd buy another obx. I can't justify spending the money on a quaife, now that there is a cost effective alternative. If I were building a trailer queen the stock diff would be welded.

1. Yes the open diff is a major weak point in regards to performance and durability in a Honda.
2. No problems I did go over to double check assembly IE- verything tight etc and it was all good
3. Yes I would buy another as I will never spend $1000 on a diff.

Mine is fine too (over a year now) except for when I have to remove the passenger side axle!

That would be sick if it cut .15 off of my 60' when I install my OBX. Somehow I doubt it though because I already cut a 1.69 on open diff. I just can't see my car doing 1.54.

The one I installed in my buddys tranny has been holding up great. 11 second passes and no problem yet.

However, the passenger side axle had to be destroyed and I had to completely diassemble the unit to chamfer the axle splines. I really hope they changed it.

I give it a

1. Are you satisfied with the performance?
YES i launch hard and make over 500whp.
2. If you experienced problems with your OBX LSD, was OBX or the seller willing to honor the warranty of the product and replace or repair the product?
just the pass. axle issue
3. If you were in the market for another LSD would you purchase the OBX LSD or purchase another brand LSD such as Quaife?
i think i would go with a quaife and use the obx as a back up.

1. Love the performance, hard launches all the time on ~300whp no issues at ALL. Little breakin noise in the beginning but it goes away and now its GREAT!

2. No issues ATALL, used the same diff in 2 consecutive builds.

3. Would def buy again, actually i may buy a spare just to have on backup cause they is so damn cheap!!

+ from me

Has the problem been corrected for the H22 OBX LSD? If corrected, what is the part number?
