ok before you guys bash me for not doing a search... I did do one...
here's what I have: 1989 CRX B16A w/Type R pistons

Cel code 22 (VTEC pressure switch)

what I've done....

a) put in 4.5 quarts of oil
b) ohmed out entire VTEC wire 0 ohms (wire harness to solenoid input)
c) provided it with 12v from wiring harness, good healthy click from solenoid
d) swapped with buddies ECU, PR3 mine is a PWO, same code, no VTEC
e) unhooked solenoid connector at idle, no bogging or anything
f) car was warm, nice and sunny out

anything else I can do...? please help....

 

check the vtec pressure switch and circuit

 

hmm that is very wierd, ill do a search and see if i come up with anything for ya.

 

where exactly is the VTEC pressure switch and what does it look like...?

 

the vtec pressure switch is on the vtec solenoid assembly.
check the sensor and check oil pressure
