What a weekend! But still no Vtec!?!?!?!?!?!? Any ideas?
Anyway, We got everything installed for my LS/Vtec setup. It runs, except Vtec will not cross overer. Im running a p28 w/mugen chip. I ran the Vtec solinoid wire to the D6 location on the ECU and the Vtec pressure switch to the A4 location. A CEL came on at about 6000 RPM, we looked it up and it is called "Vtec Spool Solenoid Valve Circut" I chiped the ECU my self, everything went okay, and I installed everything right I think, but there is a possibility I could have done it wrong I guess? After we pulled the code, we switched Vtec solinoids, and still, it did not work.
Any ideas??? I would really like to feel Vtec cross over!

Hmm.....you have them crossed.....the VTEC solenoid goes to A4 and the oil pressure switch goes to D6. BTW, make sure you use a good ground for the VTEC oil pressure switch.
that shoud fix your problem.

Are you positive? The diagram somone posted in one of my other posts says the solenoid goes to D6 and the switch goes to a4. I guess I will switch them and see though.
Yeah, it took all weekend! We did alot more than just slap the head on. We pulled the whole motor, and did a bunch of stuff. I'll post every thing I did later.

here is that pic...
sounds like you did not get very much sleep. when you ran the wires did you mark them so you would not get them crossed. you may have got them correct at the ecu, but did you put the other end of the wires at their intended component.
where did you ground to? is it sufficient?
remember KISS=keep it simple stupid (i am not calling you stupid, that is just how the saying goes)

Trust me, I'm positive.....I just converted my obd0 to obd1 and how i told you is how I wired the car.....no CEL's, no problem with VTEC.
here is the complete ECU pinout for the p28: http://www.hondaswap.com/articles/index.php?id=17
review it and make sure everything is wired correctly....
good luck,
Lester

As of now, I am positive that the Vtec solenoid is wired to the a4 location, and the Vtec pressure switch is wired to the d6 location. Vtec is now working good. I just need to do some tunning!!!! Other than that, it runs good.

Yeah, you should really break it in with at least 800-1000 miles of easy driving first.... sucks, but it's better for the motor.

Glad to hear to have the VTEC working.......and YES, you will need lots of tunning to get the LS/VTEC to its full potential, but when you do, you'll be smoking people left and right..
