Help on Engine problem

I just got done swaping a JDM B18C in my 93 civic si. It seems to start fine. Idles okay but when you step on the gas pedal, the intake manifold reacts really slow. You hear the air filter suck in air and then a second or two the intake manifold will then suck that air in. Help please. Thanks.
