filterless
Yes, ESPECIALLY since you have a cold air. All the dirt/sand/water/rocks can easily get up into the intake that way. You don't want that to happen.
It's bad enough when there's no filter on a short ram, but you don't want to risk it with a cold air.
The ONLY instance where I'd say it might be justifiable, is on a drag strip. Used for only that run. Even then, I'd put a filter on, as the gains are negligible.

LMFAO....just sit back and actually THINK about it for just a second
ok....your a piece of sand crusing around in the air and all the sudden a car comes across your path. You get sucked up the air intake track and where would you end up next? Well you get sucked in through the throttle body. Now your back in your body and your the driver again. Do you want that piece of sand that you just lived the life of for 2 seconds being sucked up into your motor?
^^yea yea i know drawn out and unneeded, but i couldn't resist.

I've always run filterless when I have ITB's installed and I've never had problems (rain, snow, dirt roads, etc), but the location of the inlets is a great deal more forgiving than with a cold air setup. I'd have to be smoking something really really good to run filterless with a cold air setup.
