ok--- so im driving and my car starts to backfire a little---- than more and more, and just as im pulling into my driveway it stalls right out----- i open up the dizzy cap, and my rotor is like smashed to ****--- i was like ****-- it cut half way through 2 of the electrodesp[----to luckly i have a brand new rotor layin around--- i put it on and put the cap back on----- she starts, and idles real funny for a few secs, then the rpm"s drop tp normral, throw me a check emgine light, and by the time i get outa the car to look at the engine, she has stalled,-- so i figured getting a new cap--- i got a new cap from pepboys, since honda is closed today,-- and still nothing---- she just cranks and cranks but wont fire--- whats happening--- did i fry my dizzy???? please help!!!!!

 

What kind of code did it throw?

 

i have no clue--- how do i check my codes????

I would try to figure out why your "rotor is like smashed to ****". That doesn't normally happen. A possibility is the bearings are going bad and overheating causing the rotor to melt. When my bearings went it didn't totally destroy the rotor and cap but it meted and distorted the rotor resulting in a loss of timing.

 

im not sure0---- a couple days ago i had to replace my cap without replacing my rotor at the same time---- im wondering if that had anything to do with it
