Default HELP!! 92Si

Hey guys I’m looking for little help. I just picked up a 92Si a few weeks ago. I traded my Acura legend for it. All and all the car pulls hard and it’s a nice car. It has a few visible performance mods headers, CAI, and cat back. But there is one problem, when the car idles it bounces from 1000rpm to 2000rpm back and forth. Does any one know what could be causing it to idle that way? The guy I got the car from bought it from this guy in NY and he has no idea if he did any motor work to it. Any info will be greatly appreciated

Try reseting the ECM, maybe the guy didn't do it after the mods - I heard many ways to go about it, but this is how I did mine-
-Warm up car (till rad. fan kicks in 2x - DO NOT HIT THE GAS)
-Shut off car, pull - battery terminal and pull the "BACK-UP" fuse in the underhood box
-sit or find sumthin 2 do for 5-10 min
-Reconnect everything up
-Start up car and let warm up (till radiator fan kicks in - DO NOT HIT THE GAS)
-Shut off car, and it should be reset

Anyone else w/ ideas on how 2 do this easier?

PS. all your radio settings will be cleared, and your clock w be reset, so don't 4get that

Thanks bro. I'm from CT too. Southern CT that is.
Do you think he might have installed a cam or did some motor work or something? I don’t know too much about civics but the car pulls really hard for a SOCH. I beat a GSR and a modified LS last night. How can i tell if he changed the cams

Yeah, the D16Z6 is a pretty good motor. When I had my EG I hung with a 200SX SER. I am a pretty good driver, so I didn't know if it was me or the car, or his lack of driving ability- but I don't think it was the latter because he was shifting about like I was. I had bolt on mods, and all I could tell that he had was exhaust. I wish I still had my EG now

you can pull out the distributor and look at the cam if it is jg you will see jg stamped on it. also check your igniter it will tend to do that with bad igniter
