hello fellow forum i have been doing reserch regarding my car issue and still no solution i hope some one can shed some light, well i have a 1998 honda civic dx 5 spd i have 100k on it the car runs good except issues with over heating so i changed the relay with known working one , changed themo stat , and thermoswitch along with coolant temprature sensor , i tested the fan straight to the battery and it woks , basically my car over heats in traffic only fans some times dont kick in meaning . if im in traffic and its over heating and i press on the gas arround 4000 rpm then the fan kicks in , then 30 seconds later temp drops right away ofcourse when fan is on then when it goes arround the midle it, the fan turns off , so basically my fan only tuns on when i hit the gas really hard in traffic , if the car is in idle then fans wont kick in and car over heat ,thanks in advance

dont know if this will help u out but my fans wouldnt kick on either. i replaced my vtec swtich and week later my oil pressure swithch. my fans kick on now so idk if that would help u or not but it fixed my problem when i replaced the oil switch.

yeah i just removed the thermostat and its over heating only on idle , i dont know i replaced every thing except the sending unit for the coolant temprature sensor which is the one wire sensor under the distributer cab
