Default Help!

So my speedometer and odometer do not work. Gas, Tachometer, and oil temp work. Same with all the indicators for signals and other things. I have replace the VSS and it still doesn't work. Could it be the wiring going from the cluster to the VSS? Or the cluster itself. Please help ((

It's likely going to be the cluster.

So more news about it. I pulled the connection and drove around a bit till i got a code. Then checked it and it said that it had code 17 which is the vss. Which means that the wiring harness for it is good correct? And would i replaced the whole cluster? Or what?

Have you done a continuity test on the VSS lead(s) between the cluster and the VSS yet?
If not do so.
What is the MM&Y of car you are talking about and any mods? 94

If you're throwing a code then that's a different story. It means either the vss is bad or you have a wiring issue. If the cluster isn't working that's not going to throw a code. For some reason I read your post as not throwing a code. Try looking at the connectors for the vss it could be rusted up or a wire could have pulled out of the connectors

Before you toss anymore parts at it buy/borrow a multimeter and do a continuity test on the leads, as holmesnmanny mentions make sure plug to VSS is clean and free of corrosion/rust, squirt a little WD40 into the plug to clean it. 94
