Default headwork?

hi there
I'm new to honda-tech but i'm begining to have a few questions. I'm currently doing a ls-vtech conversion for my 89 civic hatchback. Well from what i understand honda is very good about building a head that breathes well, my question is will any port and polishing make improvement or will it hurt? I see some people that port out there heads and they dont get power till 4 to 5000 rpm.

thanks,
jason

im supprised your building a ls/vtec if you can't even spell it correctly. in any case, if you got the money you might as well get a nice p&p job. there is always room for improvement. it wont hurt preformance unless you get it done by someone un-experienced or what not.

depends on what head you build with i can think of a ton of other Better ways to spend 600-800$ really doesnt make as much power as thought, and only in certain areas of the powerband thereafter
