Default head work needed?

i'm boosting my ls, its gonna have forged rods, pistons, and also it will be sleeved and i was wondering am i gonna need new vavlesprings retainers, or like any head work done to be able to push close to 18 psi safely. Don't worry about the engine management, i'm getting hondata and getting it tuned professionally. oh yeah its gonna be in a b18b1

i can't answer your question definately...but i'm in the process of doing a mild port job to my spare LS head and maybe touch up the valves as well. it's going on the end of tihs week or mid next week hopefully. i'll let'ca know after the dyno session whether i make power or lose power. i think i'll be gaining power since the LS head flows poorly compared to it's vtec companions.

i am not really wondering if i need it to make power i am not wantting to burn a valve or something or bend a vavle etc. i am just wondering if a stock head will need mods to hold close to 15-18 psi

You will be fine with the stock head.

Just don't raise the rev limit. But you probably know that.
