Default Headlights not working properly

So here's another issue with my car. The lo beams and markers would work just fine in the one setting but when clicked to the next setting no hi beams no lo beams Nothing but markers. Do I Replaced bulbs , fuses, checked grounds and nothing worked. Finally decided to change the combination switch itself now all I get is hi beams alone in one setting and hi and lo beams in the other. Please help this is driving me crazy.

What do you mean "settings"?

The combination light switch has 3 positions, 1- off, 2-park lights, 3-park and head lights, the dimmer switch has 3 positions, low beam, high beam and flash to pass.

In the #1 positions, [off] there should be no lights unless you have DRLs, in the #2 position all the park lights, [tail lights] and dash illumination lights should be on, [DRLs if you have them will turn off] in the #3 position all the above and head lights should be on, the dimmer only works when head lights are on but the flash to pass always works.

Have you checked fuses and bulbs yet?
What is the MM&Y of the car, or is it the 88 CRX, and are there any mods? 94

It's an 88 Hf it has an obd 0 -obd1 conversion with a b18b. By settings I meant what you wrote when when it's supposed to be lo beams it's just hi beams and it's hi and lo in the other position which I guess it's supposed to be. Also the the hi beam indicator seems to always be on but very dim.

My high beam indicator is dim also, probably a worn out bulb. Incandescent bulbs loose their ability to make light over time, they don't always burn out.

It sounds like something is wired up wrong and I'm still not sure what you are talking about by 'settings'

In off, they're off
In park, the parking lights are on
and in on, both highs and lows are on all the time?

If, when you turn on the low beams the highs come on, could the harnesses be swapped at the headlight?

During flash to pass, do the lows come on?

During high beam operation are all 4 headlights supposed to be on or just the highs?

Off is off
Parking lights is parking lights
Low beams the center lights light which are the high beams
High beams all lights are on

The light harness is not spliced

"Low beams the center lights light which are the high beams"
I assume you mean when the head light switch is on and the dimmer is on low beam your high beams are the ones on, is that correct?

And when you switch to high beams, both the low and high beams are on, is that correct?

When the low beams are supposed to be on, [and you say your high beams are on] is the high beam indicator on, or is it on when you switch to high beam?

Things to confirm/test...

Leads from the Combination Light Switch....
Red/green, park lights, hot in all positions except off.
Red/blue, low beam, hot only when dimmer on low beam.
Red/yellow, high beam, hot only when dimmer is on high beam and anytime flash to pass is used, [even if head light switch is off].94

It sounds like the highs and lows harness or bulbs are installed backwards at the headlight assy.

Try swapping them and see if that fixes your issue.

The bulbs are obviously good, the wires are obviously good and the likely hood of the bulbs or harnesses being screwed up at the lights is much higher than a screwed up multi function switch.
