Default head gasket help...

My buddys civic has been overheating lately and the water has been disappearing. Today he came over and he said that the water was shooting out of the line that connects the valve cover to the intake pipe. I was thinking it was a blown headgasket but I just replaced that about 3 months ago along with the thermostat. And I replaced the water pump about a year ago.

Im kinda lost here. I know he drove without an intake for the past couple months cause he's an idiot and the problems occured after he unbolted his exhaust system.
But he's already put everything back on. Well hopefully somebody has some insight, before we take it into diagnostics.
btw its 94 d15b8. 150k miles.

Also i noticed that the head looks as if there is no oil in it, however the dipstick reads full. Oh and he hasnt changed the oil for about 6k....ahhh... i sold him this car and he doesnt take care of it and then asks me to help fix it when it breaks down...THAT REALLY PISSES ME OFF. anyways thanks guys.

whoah sounds like a badley leaking gasket i would change it and check the head for warpage also..before he ends up hydrolocking...was the head torqued correctly?...also see if he has any streched headbolts or just replace them, the head may have lifted a little ...hope that helps..good luck and keep us posted.

I checked the headgasket and it was fine. Had the head reworked and I also replaced the head gasket along with new plugs, plug wires, and fuel filter . I noticed that it overheats as you accelerate, and goes back down on deceleration. Possible water pump issue?

This sucks we could've just bought a new block with the money we put into it.

is there a whitish foam substance on the bottom of the oil cap?
If so, you have coolant leaking into the oil!
In 11 years of working on Honda/Acuras, I've yet to see a waterpump cause an overheating issue!

wouldnt that work in opposite if it were a water pump issue?..still sounds like a gasket leak did u have the deck surface checked for warpage?..instead of just the head..are u torqing it down in the right sequence?.did u take out your thermostat?..how old are the headbolts and how many times have they been un-and re-torqued?..and yes also did u check the oil? (milky?)

Torqued everything according to helms, new thermostat, 2yr old radiator, stock head bolts, I've taken the head off twice now. Oil was BLACK as hell, but there was no sign of antifreeze or water anywhere in the oil.

if water is coming out of the valve cover vent, then you better look again, You have a blown head gasket!!!
next time use copper spray all over the gasket. I would check that head again!

The water leaking has stopped but now it stalls out if you let off the gas. You can start it up fine. It idles bad but doesnt stall until you're actually driving. Bad throttle response too. Overly sluggish feeling. aHHH this sucks.
