HARD TO PUT IT IN GEAR!..NEED HELP!!!!
Hey guys! Well recently this week its been feeling weird putting it into gear. 2nd-3rd is the hardest. At first i thought it was just me, but now its like i have to really try to get it into gear.3rd to 4th is even hard aswell, but i can get it into 5th no problem. Also when i put it into first with the clutch pedal to the floor, it sorta feels like the car wants to move like the clutch isnt pressed in. So basically its like i have to really force the gears in.i really dont like this, basically everytime i shift i have to rev match, cause theres no way of doing it smoothly.
How can i tell wtf is wrong? How do you check fluid level on manual tranny? I dont think there is any kind of unusuall smell, just hard to get it into gear.
Any help PLEASE!! Thanks guys!

There are two holes in your transmission (well two that matter to your situation). The top plug is your fill hole and the bottom plug is drain. Open the one on the top. The oil should either spill out or at least be level to the hole, stick your finger in it to see. If you are low, surprise, surprise, you better put more in ASAP. Better yet, change it entirely.
I use GM Synchromesh. It is pricey and you have to go to a GM dealership (ick) it buy it, but it is pretty good stuff.

you want to start with the little things first and then move your way up in the process of elimination. check your tranny fliud make sure you have the right amount. there should be two plugs on the end of your tranny one will be a fill plug the other will be a drain plug. you want to check the level withthe fill plug by putting your finger in there and feeling where your fluid level is at. obviously if you can't feel the fluid you are low. If the fluid level is fine then you need to start checking the slave cylinder. if that is fine then check your master cylinder and so on until you correct the problem. one more word of advice: if you have to replace either the slave cylinder or master cylinder, you should try to do both because from experience when changing one the other one goes out shortly after. i hope i helped you, good luck and hopefully it is a low fluid level problem. good luck, gloria
Yea i think it is the clutch! I doubt it is any of the cylinders, but thanks a lot for the advice guys!Yea its basically like not DISengaging. I think the fingers are funked up on the clutch. Imma check it out pretty soon, ill let you know! But thanx again!
Definitely check everything else first, but I had the same problem and had to change the clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing to fix it. If you do take the tranny off you'll probably be able to tell right away if you've found the problem. My whole slutch assembly was fooked.
kool.Yea i am prolly gonna just have to replace the clutch. But yea totally agree with seeing if its some smaller parts first!Especially before taking tranny apart!
But yea if the clutch is shot ill prolly jus buy a itr clutch for now or maybe if its just like the alignment or something that i could fix then ill just fix it.And might aswell throw in a flyweel since the tranny's already gonna cracked open!
