Default H22a1 94 Accord throwing CEL Code 22

Alright guys, my ECU is throwing a Code 22.
I checked it out and I found that its the VTEC oil pressure switch. What should I do about this? Should I see if its a bad switch, and if so how would I figure this out?
Or should I just replace the VTEC solenoid all together? Im not even positive if my car cracks VTEC, i've read that it should kick in around 5500rpms, but when i push it that far not much happens, and if i do it in 3rd gear and up, my oil light comes on. Any help or info on this subject would be appreciated!!!

VTEC oil pressure switch is simply that, a switch. When the correct oil pressure is reached/maintained the switch will close and allow activation of the VTEC solenoid to turn VTEC on. If there is low oil pressure it will not activate the pressure switch and thus VTEC will not 'kick in'. The switch can simply be checked by checking continuity through it, if you can open and close the switch with an appropriate size allen wrench without too much difficulty it is probably fine. Compressed air also works.

If your oil light is coming on then there is either a lack of oil, check for correct amount in the crank case, which will cause low oil pressure or the oil pressure is low even when full of oil.
You will need to find out why the oil pressure is low. Confirm oil pressure with a gauge.
It can either be a faulty pump, faulty regulator valve, worn bearings, or possibly an oil leak somewhere, externally or internally.
