Default GSR Swap AC

Ok well i tried searching but the term help and AC wont work. but everytime i search google it brings me here but not my issue.

So i have a GSR swap in a 99 civic LX with the AC compressor of the GSR. Would it be easier to get lines for the current setup or to change the compressor and bracket to a d series/del sol setup.

I cant figure out what lines i need to use to get it working.

If you already have all the d-series stuff, It'd be much easier to get the del sol or cr-v compressor bracket. When I put my LS in I just kept all my AC stuff from my stock setup and just bought the cr-v bracket from majestic for around 50-60 bucks. I was able to reuse all the old hardware and I think tensioner too.

Do you have the compressor bracket for the B-series compressor? If so, I'd go that route to save money. I know the rest of the components would have to be for your year civic. The lines though, I'm not sure if the D-series lines can bolt to a B compressor. Though I'm pretty certain you can fit the B lines from the compressor to the D series components no problem. Another thing worth considering is where you're sourcing your parts from. I know around here, Integras are a bit scarce and it would be much easier to find all Civic parts.

Yea I still have the compressor and bracket that was on the GSR. Only thing Im concerned about is the lines. I know the d-series lines won’t on the compressor, and the Integra lines won’t work on the firewall so would I need to have custom lines, or can I order lines from a 99 SI. Or is the best way to get the Del Sol/CRV bracket, put the d-series compressor on, and get all the civic lines from a junk yard.

Yeah, I guess the only solution for the lines is something custom if you use the b compressor. I'd definitely recommend getting all your a/c components from a civic in a junkyard, or on here cause people pull that stuff out all the time for "performance reasons." Then go here: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ ...to get a bracket for your d series compressor from a b16 del sol, cr-v, or 99-00 civic si. I think those three are all the same part number. You may try a junkyard for the bracket too, if you can find one. This way it's all a bolt on affair. You can use the tensioner from your b bracket too.

yea im thinkin the best way is getting the bracket, using my d-series compressor and just getting all the other stuff of a junker. Unless anyone knows of a better way using the gsr compressor. thanks for your help though

Get a P54 A/C bracket if you have P/S, otherwise the CR-V bracket works w/o P/S (can't recall P/N). Sell the B-series compressor, buy an entire Civic A/C setup. Install, replace dryer & recharge, enjoy.

Otherwise you'll be paying a decent amount for custom lines, probably more than you would for a P54 bracket.
