Default fuel pressure regulator busted?

when i was gettin my car dyno'd they ran into a problem.. my aem fpr started to spit fuel into my vacuum system... they told me the diaphragm inside the fpr was ripped or something but i checked it and nothing ripped... but it has something to do with that diaphragm...what would cause it to do such a thing? and how much is a new diaphragm?

i am pretty sure the diagram is ripped unless you use a vaccum tester to pull the vaccum on the regulator. otherwise you have a bad regulator.
