Default frustrating problems

I have a 93 civic hatch si with a 96 gsr motor. I first tried to put an integra dash in so i changed the underdash wire harness so I would not have to worry about obd 2 and the dash would just plug in. I pulled the dash out because I didn't like how it fit. So changed to a 92 civic ex under dash wire harness and put a civic dash in and then got an obd 1 ecu and a obd 1 distubtor. Then i got an 92 civic si engine harness. Put it all together and pluged everything in and the distrubtor is heating up and the car starts to studder when i rev it up. So i change the coil in the distributor and still no change. So I need some help I am really in a bind for time also so I am really stressed out. All advice is appreciated. mad:

What do you mean your distributor is heating up? What exactly does the engine do? P28 ECU?

what i mean by heating up is the distributor gets so hot you can't even put you hand on it.

sounds like the bearings in the distributer are going bad. May need to replace your distributer $$$$$$.

does it make noise?

the dizzy is (semi)directly attached to the camshaft, which touches the valves, which are in the combustion chamber so it all gets pretty hot and this heat gets radiated to most of the engines bits.

oh - does it heat up even if you are not driving??? (opps- maybe this is what he meant...)

litlle more info on the shuddering as you rev it up?!

could it be an engine mount? or is teh engine not firing properly?

t..

I replaced the distributor once already and all the interiors like the coil and the ignitor. When I am in the car reving it up it goes all the way to eight but just not smoothly. And when i do it slowly the needle jumps from 3500 to 4000 and 5500 to 6000 and in a couple of other places. Do you think it may have something to do with the wiring. Like what would make it do that if something was wired wrong.
