Default Forgot to add oil :-(

Well as much as a dumbass as I am. I put 1 quart of oil in my fresh rebuild and got distracted. So I jump in a little later and fire her up. the oil pressure goes up to like 30 then goes to 0. So it idles for about 10 secs, im thinking its still purging the lines, then the oil light comes on and i shut her off. My question, do you think I will still be ok especially since everything was covered with assembly lube or should i rip it back down?

I got the flame suit on and ready for hell.....

Dont wont to lie to you an say its ok,but if you used good assembly lude and you put some what of oil in it i wouldnt worry too mutch. When you fill it with oil do you hear any knocking? If not,the assembly lube saved you. Did you replace any bearings on your rebuld cause that would ef be a plus....

it should be fine....put oil in it and verify you have the proper oil pressure...if you dont take it apart...
