Default fan problems

When i bought my 94 civic coupe the fan never worked, as long as I kept moving air would pass thru the radiator and keep the temps down.

but now that its summer thats becoming a chore. I recently bought an aftermarket fan and I installed it. and to my surprise it doesnt work.

I checked every fuse under the dash and they all work, what else could it be?

Probably needs a relay. Check all the wiring first.

well, first, see if you're getting power to the fan. use a test light and check for voltage at both wires. you should get voltage to only one wire. next, check for a ground at the other wire (opposite to the one that had battery voltage). if you have power and a ground, you have another bad fan

if you are not getting power to any of the wire, follow it back. check the fan fuse, fan switch, etc.
or, if you're getting power and no ground, find a good ground...

pull the plug out of the fan switch located on the water neck, with the ignition double clicked but dont start it.

ground one of the two pins one after the other, if the fan kicks in. you have a bad switch.

Had the same problem. I changed out my fan switch and put in a low temp thermostat (both Mugen). Problem solved.

[QUOTE=taz77]what was the problem? The problem with (SILVERBEAST) was that I purchased some parts from him since March 9, 2004 and I have not gotten all my complete parts yet I think I got scammed on my purchased I have been trying to get a hold of him and no response at all. I think that my last chance of getting a hold of him is by me calling PayPal and tell them my situation about my parts, or getting my money I think there are more leggitt vendors out there well see what happens.
