factory torque specs for valve cover?

Default factory torque specs for valve cover?

i dont have a shop manual and cant find the info.

i baiscaly need to know what to torque the bolts at when installing a new valve cover?

i've never done it and have a feeling i'll mess something up


any tech articles with pics showing steps to changing one?

They're about 8 ft/lb's.

Just tighten them down to a light hand-tightness.

If you don't know how to tighten a valve cover, then be careful w/ everything else

Its a valve cover!!! Put some rtv on the corners of the cam caps and tighten it down!

Ive seen alot of people overtighten **** like valve covers...use a small rachet...hand tighten.

How important do you guys think the RTV is around the cam seals? i didn't use any when i put my new valve cover gasket on last weekend...
