Engine Wiring Harness Compatability in an EK...
Well it seems as if I've fubar'd my engine harness.
Question - I have a '96 EK hatchback with an OBD1 SOHC vtec swap currently using an OBD2A->OBD1 conversion harness from jdmshit.com. In the process of repinning my distributor I broke the plug, and wiring it according to the helms, I can get it to turn over, but not spark.
Anyway , can I run an OBD1 engine harness in my EK with the obd1 sohc swap without any issues?
Or if I get another OBD2 harness can I just put an obd2 distributor in the motor if everything else is already converted to OBD1 (IACV, injectors, etc...)?

-- nope. You HAVE to use an EK civic harness because of their 1-piece design. OBD1 civic & integra harneses are 2-piece design (break off at the pass.side shock tower).

-- yes, that IS what you should do, although I believe an OBD2 distributor will not fully mount up to a D16Z6 head, only 1 of the mounting legs will mount up, but thats ok if you're not totally **** about these kinds of things.
