Default Engine parts

If I wanted to take apart my B18 block, and clean parts like : Cylinder, Cylinder head, pistons, rods, crankcase, and camshaft. What do I use?

Well, I prefer Snap-ON tools but..... No, but if you just have a wild hair to start tearing down your block to clean stuff, I guess you could just use a mild degreaser and **** like that. You shouldn't mess with cleaning too much, like your cylinders for one... you can hone them (professionally) I suppose.

Good luck....

What does rehone mean? I heard plain soap and water works or steam cleaning.
Any other Ideas?

one good idea! If you don't know what honing is, don't tear apart your motor!

You must be stupid. When you didnt know how to read, did you get someone to read for you? It's better to find out or get taught how to do it yourself, save's money too. (If you dont know how to clean engine parts then dont anwser his post, telling him to get someone to do it for him.) I hate people like you.

seafoam http://stevenbigler.tripod.com/scoutco/id12.html

and you dont need to take your engine apart to use it. because unless your a HARDCORE RACER THAT NEEDS A 100% PERFECT ENGINE EVERY RACE you dont really need to "clean" your pistons and rods.....

just use something like seafoam to clean up the carbon buildup if your car is high miliage and it hasnt been taken care off.......

what? you internet averse? look at the link

seafoam is a product, you fill your gastank and oyu also get your engine to suck a whole chunk of it.... then you turn your car on

it will smoke for 15-30 minuets, then your good to go.

thats the short version....

Do yourself a favor and take it to a machine shop. They will be able to clean it, hone it, and reassemble it properly and professionally.

no seafoam is specificaly designed to clean out your engine while its still in the car with everything connected

and why do u even want to clean it??!! i dont uderstand it?!!! most wanabe tuners just get a intake/exhaust.... you want to CLEAN your engine parts.... you might as well get NEW and BETTER ones.....

i fail to see the logic in your approach.

with a post like yours i dont think you did anything to your car,

you didnt even specify what kind of b18.....

obviously you havent heard of it, if you did you wouldnt ask, and how can u not like it if you never used it.

people over at the nissan forum swear by it and plenty of testimonials

here is a 100 post discussion about seafoam and engine cleaning.
