Skunk2 kit ball joint "Boot"
I tore my Skunk2 camber kit ball joint boot while trying to separate the ball joint with one of those forks. Does anyone know if I can replace it with an OEM boot, or how bad is it if I don't use the boot? I believe the ball joint is made of polyurethane as opposed to the rubber OEM pieces. TIA.
I called them up. They sell the ball joints alone for ~$26, but there are certain shops that sell OEM boots that cost a couple bucks. So, I wanna see if I can get one of those first since the ball joint is practically new.
I put the Energy Suspension boots over the Skunk2 boots when I put those arms on a friends car. They will also work by themselves, but they don't seal as well...
Thanks for the info, I'll look for some ES tomorrow. But what do you mean they will work by themselves? The ball joint alone without any boots?
The tear is not really bad, and I wonder if they'll last a while since they're poly.

I meant the ES boots can work by themselves, but by nature of there design, they don't seal as well as the Skunk2 boots. I recommend using the ES boots over the Skunk boots for maximum sealing.
