The engine light on my cluster goes on and off over and over again. So I checked my oil and there were sufficient oil. So I am guessing that the sensors are messed up. Can someone help me out? It is really bothering me and I drive about 30 min every other day to work. Thanks.

I am running a chipped P28. The car is running rich for a while. Can this be the problem? These days, the light has not come on.
naw the problem is most likely a defective sensor or a loose wire.
To isolate the problem, when the check engine light is on, look at the ECU and see what code you are throwing. Once you have done that, check the sensor and the wire to make sure that the wire didnt get hot and melt, or that the sensor is in good condition, ideally, visually inspect the wireloom that the wire is in and see if the plastic casing has gotten melted or corroded, if not go to a junk yard and buy a sensor for the part that needs replacing
I hope that helps

My car is a '99 Civic SI. Its not the check engine light, its the engine oil light. I don't have my stock ECU which really sucks. My engine oil is at a normal level, but this light keeps on coming on and off. The light started coming on after I used 10w30 rather than my usual 5w30. Not sure if different type of engine oil could actually trigger this problem.
