yesterday my engine light came on after 15 mins of driving a car.
i got off the highway, shut the car off and started again.
light dissapeared. got to the point where i needed. light didnt come on.
on the way back, the same thing happened.
i reset the ECU, this morning everything was fine on the way to school.
on the way back the light came on again. i did the same thing as the first time,
it dissapeared but came on in a shortwhile.
i checked oil, oil is fine.
what do you guys think can be the problem?
o2 sensor? but if its the o2 sensor, shouldnt the light stay on all the time?
or it only comes on when the o2 sensor has to start working and the engine operates on a closed loop?
any ideas...?

no.. i didnt.

 

I'd do that first to help narrow down the possibilities....I forget what it's called, but there is a plug on the passenger side floor board, u stick a jumper wire in there (with the car off) and then turn the key over...check how many times ur cel blinks...one long blink= 10 so for example....long, long, plus 3 short blinks=23
