Engine Cranks But will not Start
I was driving home yesterday and my engine started to sputter as if it was not getting enough fuel. Eventually it stalled. I restarted it with no problem. It stalled again and has not started since. It has 3/4 tank of fuel so it's not out of gas. Any ideas? Is there a way to check to see if the fuel pump is working? All of the fuses are good too.
Like evocelica said, pull a plug wire and check for spark also if you listen care fully you can hear if the fuel pump is turning on or not. If you don't hear the fuel pump that might be your problem check it out.
yeah listen for the fuel system to pressurize, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmp about a second long on the noise.
check for spark.
my guess would be the coil took a ****. the problem with it running and dying would be consistant with that i would think, just borrow someones for a second and try that if you not getting a spark
also any cel?
derek

I know what happened to buddies c1500 because it happened to mine. But comparing chevrolets primitive injection to a honda is just wrong. Here is what is most likely happening to this car.
The main relay is failing
or the ignitor
or the coil
or the fuel pump.
next time it happens check the fuel pressure and spark
