Engine bracket stud removal
anyone know how to remove the 2/3 studs on the drivers side engine mount bracket.... b18's it 3 studs.... and on b16 civic SI's its only 2 studs.... i have an si engine mount bracket that didnt come with studs.... and am trying to take off the studs from a ITR bracket.... but cant seem to get a good grip on them cuz there round.... any ideas??
usually when i back studs out i use 2 nuts, put one nut on all the way, put the second nut on to jam it, and use the first nut and back it off, it will tighten into the jam nut, breaking loose the stud
hmm sounds good shouldve thought of that.... thank ill try it and keep you posted
if you use a stud removal tool you might ruin the threads depending on where you place the tool!
But i always use the 2 nuts method if i want to reuse the bolt.

use 2 wrenches, tighten them to eachother and keep pressure on the top one, while loosening with the bottom one.
or use vice-grips at the bottom where the stud won't contact the nut anyways

vice grips on the bottom side of the studs
or just buy them from honda they're like 4 buckish each
I bought mine, so the vice grip idea is what I WOULD HAVE DONE if I hadn't bought some
