ECU question?
I Have a 1997 honda civic LX, d16Y7, what ecu code do i have if i need to buy a new one? Just wondering? Can i get one out of an EX v-tec and gain more power? Or will i just get a check engine light?
If i was going to do a mini-me swap, which i plan on doing soon, lets say i get a d15z6 head, will i need to get that ecu in order for that to work? becasue i have an obdII I kinda want to stay in that system right? can i use a 96-00 civic ecu (p28) or would i have to get the z6 ecu?

d16z6
u need the ecu that matches the obd system...
if u wanted to stay obd2 u should use the d16y8 head and the 96-00 ex ecu...
p28 is the 92-95 ex ecu not the 96-00
for tuning purposes obd1 is better than obd2
search around there is a ton of info
